Getting started

New to PromoLink? Start here.

What is PromoLink?
An all-in-one platform for running your label's release promotion in one place instead of a stack of separate tools. Send AI-personalised promo emails to DJs and curators with professional waveform audio. Publish branded landing pages for every release. Give each artist a private page where they see their own release stats and can share their music. Track opens, listens, downloads, and feedback in real time. Built by labels, for labels.
Who is PromoLink for?
Independent labels, solo artists and producers, and agencies managing multiple imprints. Free is for trying it out (1 Automation + 50 emails per month, no card). Artist (€13.99/mo annual) suits a working solo artist. Label (€34.99/mo annual, the most popular tier) is the right fit for most labels with up to 3 imprints. Agency (€104.99/mo annual) is for multi-label operations and includes white-label and Claude Code (MCP).
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan does not require a card. Sign up, import a small contact list, send your first promo, and publish a SmartLink for your release — all without paying. Add a card only when you upgrade.
How long does setup take?
About 10 minutes for a first promo: sign up, set your Sender Profile (label name, logo, signature, reply-to), paste or upload contacts, draft the email with the AI assist, send. The full walkthrough is on /how-it-works.
Can I try it without uploading my real contact list?
Yes. You can send promos to yourself or to a small test group, and you can build landing pages and artist dashboards before any contact is in the system. Nothing on your account is sent anywhere automatically.
Do my recipients (DJs, curators) need a PromoLink account?
No. They can listen and download from your SmartLinks and emails without signing up. If they do choose to create a free receiver account, they get a personal Promo Inbox, the waveform player, one-click downloads (MP3 / WAV / AIFF), Top Charts, and a feedback system to reply to your releases directly.

Pricing & billing

Tiers, quotas, and what happens at the end of the month.

What counts as an "Automation"?
Either a SmartLink or an Artist Toolkit. Each time you create or activate one, it uses one Automation from your monthly quota. Existing SmartLinks and Toolkits stay live forever, even if you cancel.
Do my SmartLinks disappear if I cancel?
No. Content permanence is a core principle: everything you created stays live and continues to collect plays, downloads, and analytics. Your subscription only gates how many NEW assets you can create per month.
Can I change plans any time?
Yes. Upgrade from the dashboard and the new allowance starts immediately. Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Annual subscribers can switch to monthly at renewal.
How does annual billing save me 30%?
Annual is priced at 70% of 12× monthly, so you pay 12 months but get roughly 3.5 months free. Effective monthly: €13.99 (Artist), €34.99 (Label), €104.99 (Agency). The exact saving is shown live on each tier card when the Annual toggle is on.
What if I go over my monthly quota?
New sends, SmartLinks, and Toolkits are paused for the rest of the period and you are prompted to upgrade. There is no metered overage and no surprise bill: the right answer when you outgrow Artist is to move to Label, not to keep paying per email. Quota resets on your next billing date.
What is included with the Agency plan's white-label?
The "Powered by PromoLink" footer is hidden across all your public-facing pages — SmartLinks, Public Label Pages, Artist Toolkits, and Spotify Playlist SmartLinks. Pages show only your branding and your label's identity.
Cancellation and refunds?
Cancel any time from the dashboard. You keep access until the end of the current billing period and then drop to the Free tier (your public assets stay live). For special situations, open a billing ticket from Support in your dashboard and we work with you.

Features

What the platform actually does.

What is an Artist Toolkit?
The Artist Toolkit is the main release workflow on PromoLink. After you send a promo campaign for a release, one click activates a Toolkit on that release and bundles together: a SmartLink (auto-created, you don't make it separately), a 4-step automated email sequence (Intro, Week Before, Release Day, Weekly Update), a magic-link dashboard for the artist with live stats and track-by-track analytics, Meta Pixel firing on Artist+ plans, and an automatic slot on your Public Label Page. You can also add managers, A&Rs, or collaborators to the Toolkit.
Do I need to create a SmartLink before activating the Toolkit?
No. The Toolkit creates the SmartLink for you. This is the most common confusion: the dashboard has a separate "SmartLink only" card that suggests you need to make a SmartLink first. You don't. For releases you're promoting through PromoLink, send the campaign and activate the Toolkit, and PromoLink generates the SmartLink (plus emails, analytics, artist dashboard) in one click. The standalone "SmartLink only" path is a separate side flow for tracks you are not promoting through PromoLink (see below).
What is a SmartLink?
A landing page that auto-detects Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, YouTube, SoundCloud and other DSP links so listeners pick their service. Dual Mode switches automatically from pre-release (gather pre-saves, demo previews) to DSP on release day. Includes Meta Pixel integration on Artist+ plans and customisable branding to match your label colours. Most SmartLinks on PromoLink are created automatically when you activate an Artist Toolkit on a campaign — see the Toolkit answer above.
When should I use "SmartLink only" instead of the Toolkit?
Only for tracks already released elsewhere and that haven't been promoted through PromoLink. Examples: a back-catalog release you want a SmartLink for, a track you put out before you joined PromoLink, or a release you're not running a promo campaign for. The "SmartLink only" path takes a Spotify URL and produces a standalone SmartLink — no Toolkit, no automated emails, no artist dashboard. If you ARE running a promo campaign for the release, ignore this option and use the Toolkit instead (Step 4 of the walkthrough).
What are Spotify Playlist SmartLinks?
Branded landing pages for Spotify playlists, available on the Label and Agency plans. Single-playlist mode hosts one playlist; multi-playlist mode bundles several into a Collection (label channel, festival selections, guest curator showcase) on one page with embedded players and your label's branding.
What is a Public Label Page?
A branded catalog page at promolink.app/your-label showing your top tracks (auto-ranked by downloads), with your logo, background, and colors. Includes a Request Access flow so new DJs and curators can apply to your promo list, plus visit and request analytics. Available on Label and Agency.
How does the automated email sequence in Artist Toolkit work?
Each Toolkit ships with a preset 4-step sequence: Intro, Week Before, Release Day, and Weekly Update. Activate the Toolkit, set the release date, and PromoLink schedules the emails automatically so the artist (and their team) stays in the loop without you chasing them.
Can I use AI to write my promo emails?
Yes. The AI assist generates per-recipient personalised messages with a tone you pick (friendly, formal, warm, witty) and a length you pick. You always review and edit before anything sends — the AI drafts, it never decides.
Can I see who opened, listened, and downloaded?
Yes. Per-campaign and per-track analytics show opens, listens, downloads, and feedback in real time. Track-by-track LDR (Listen-to-Download Rate) tells you which tracks land. Geographic distribution by country and city. PDF reports for your team or artists.
What is the Trust Score?
A 0 to 9 score per contact, calculated from opens, listens, downloads, and feedback. Combined with Smart Filtering (genre, role, tags, engagement metrics) you can build segments like "DJs who actually played our last release" instead of blasting your whole list.
Can I integrate Meta Pixel for ads?
Yes, on the Artist, Label, and Agency plans. Add your Pixel ID once and it fires events on every SmartLink and Public Label Page view, so you can build retargeting audiences directly from your release pages.
What is Claude Code (MCP)?
An optional integration that connects Anthropic's Claude Code to your PromoLink account, exposing 22 automation tools you can call by natural language. Examples: "Find 50 Tech House DJs in Berlin with 10K-30K monthly Spotify listeners and add them to my contacts", or "Send personalised Instagram DMs to everyone who downloaded my last release". €29.99/month addon, included free on the Agency plan.
How is email delivery handled?
Throttled sequential sending with smart retry, real-time webhook tracking, and bounce classification (hard bounces vs transient failures). Every send is tracked through sent → delivered → opened → bounced, so you can spot deliverability issues per campaign and per recipient.

Account & data

What we do with your contacts and your music, and what you can take with you.

Can I export my contacts?
Yes, on the Artist, Label, and Agency plans. CSV export is a one-click action from the contacts dashboard and includes custom fields, tags, and engagement history. We never hold your list hostage.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You keep your account and all data on the Free tier. Public assets you created (SmartLinks, Toolkits, Public Label Pages, Playlist SmartLinks) stay live forever. You only lose paid-tier features (Meta Pixel, CSV export, Public Label Pages on a Free/Artist downgrade, etc.) and team-member seats. Re-subscribing restores everything.
Is my email list private?
Yes. Your contacts are visible only to you and to the team members you invite (Label and Agency only). PromoLink uses your contacts only to send the emails you authorise. We do not seed any other label's campaigns from your list.
How is my data handled? (GDPR, privacy)
Every promo email includes a one-click unsubscribe. We honour erasure and data-access requests. The full legal text and our cookie policy live on /privacy-policy, /cookie-policy, and /legal-notice.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Per our Privacy Policy §9.1, send a deletion request to office@iamtmusic.com and we erase your account, sender profiles, contacts, campaigns, and uploaded audio/artwork. Public assets you created (SmartLinks, Toolkits, Playlist SmartLinks) are removed at the same time unless you ask us to keep them live.
Where do you store music files I upload?
Uploads are served behind signed URLs from a CDN, so only people you actually grant download access to can pull the file. You can revoke or delete an upload at any time and the link breaks immediately.

Coming from another tool

Moving over from Linkfire, Inflyte, or your existing label workflow.

Can I import my existing contact list?
Yes. PromoLink imports any CSV with email + name columns plus optional fields (city, country, role, tags). The importer auto-detects column types and lets you re-map anything it got wrong before commit. Once contacts engage, they get a Trust Score (0 to 9) so you can spot the real listeners over time.
What does PromoLink replace?
A typical label stack today is Linkfire (or Feature.fm) for SmartLinks, plus Inflyte (or SubmitHub / Hypeddit / Groover) for DJ promos, plus a separate site/CRM. PromoLink consolidates all of it: AI-personalised promo emails, SmartLinks with Dual Mode, Artist Toolkits, Public Label Pages, and Spotify Playlist SmartLinks. The pricing page has a side-by-side calculator showing your typical savings vs Linkfire and Inflyte.
How does PromoLink compare to Linkfire?
Linkfire prices by ARTIST count and only does SmartLinks. PromoLink includes SmartLinks plus the rest of your release loop: promo email sending, Artist Toolkits, Label Pages, Playlist SmartLinks, analytics. The Artist plan is roughly the same price as a single Linkfire seat and covers everything, not just one tool.
How does PromoLink compare to Inflyte?
Inflyte caps your sends by promo count (per-promo billing on top of subscription). PromoLink doesn't cap campaigns: send as many as you want, capped only by your monthly email allowance. You also get the SmartLink, Toolkit, and Label Page surfaces in the same subscription instead of paying separately for each.
How long does migrating my contact list take?
A clean CSV under 50,000 rows: about 5 minutes (upload, map, commit). Larger lists: 15 to 30 minutes. We don't throttle the import.
Will I lose my engagement history when I switch?
PromoLink imports email and metadata from the CSV but cannot pull historical opens or clicks from your previous tool (those live in their database). The per-recipient engagement profile and Trust Score rebuild from your first PromoLink send. Most labels say it takes 2 to 3 sends to feel "back to where I was".

Team & agencies

Multiple people, multiple labels, white-label.

Can multiple people on my label use one account?
Yes. Label includes 2 team seats; Agency includes unlimited. Team members get their own login, can be scoped to specific Sender Profiles, and their actions show up in the audit log. The owner controls billing.
I'm an agency managing multiple labels. What's the right plan?
Agency (€104.99/mo annual). Includes unlimited Sender Profiles (one per label you manage), unlimited team members, white-label across all public pages, 25,000 promo emails per month, and Claude Code (MCP) at no extra cost.
How does white-label work?
On Agency, the "Powered by PromoLink" footer is removed from your SmartLinks, Artist Toolkits, Public Label Pages, and Spotify Playlist SmartLinks. Pages show only your label's branding.
Can my artists log in to see their own Toolkit?
Yes. Every Artist Toolkit has token-based magic-link access — no password, no signup. They see only their own release(s) and analytics, not your contact list or other artists' data.
